Meet Danica - Our Lead Physical Therapist

“My work is highly demanding, both physically and emotionally. However the ability to help my patients to go back to their normal lives for me is one thing that makes my job absolutely rewarding and I don’t think I’d ever do anything else.”

Danica is the Director of Center for Physical Therapy (CPT), Wilmette. CPT was founded in 2013 when Danica joined with a team of experts with in depth experience in treatment of different medical conditions.
Danica earned her degree from the University of Medicine in Belgrade, and worked at the Rehabilitation Institute where she was able to treat patients with varying forms of disability, and very serious injuries. Through this challenging work she gained understanding of the wide array of conditions, with a special focus on neurological rehabilitations and orthopedic/sport injuries.

In 2007 Danica moved to Chicago and obtained her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy, and her license. With several years’ experience working in hospitals and therapy offices in Chicago Danica decided to open her own clinic. This way she fulfilled her dream of launching one of a kind physical therapy practice that would combine wide range of skills and expertise with highest quality standards.

Danica is very dedicated and passionate about her work. She is certified in several techniques that very few therapist are. These are:

•Schroth: Very few therapists are certified in Schroth method, and Danica is one of them. Scroth method is used for treating scoliosis – a spine deformity predominantly affecting prepubescent
children.

•LSVTBIG: Danica is one of handful of PTs in Illinois specialized in LSVT Big – which is a special technique used exclusively for patients suffering from Parkinson’s disease.

In addition, Danica has also been a trusted physical therapist for several sports teams. In the Chicago area she is a Team Physical Therapist of the Chicago Dive Club and Chicago Handball Team.
